Florence is home to one of the most famous art galleries in the world, where many Renaissance masterpieces are housed. Hundreds of thousands of people visit Florence every year just to see the famous pieces by historical artists such as Raphael, Michelangelo, da Vinci, Botticelli, Giotto and Titian, just to name a few.  The Galleria del Accademia displays Michelangelo’s David sculpture.

One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome. Frescoes telling biblical stories, line the inside of the dome.  Is it worth climbing the Duomo in Florence? Yes! Climbing the Duomo in Florence is a must-do – the experience is unique and you are also rewarded with spectacular views across Florence.

It was so easy to take the train from Florence to Venice and Rome for one day excursions.  Of course there is so much to see so you will have to be specific with your day's adventure.

Known as the 'City of Canals' there are many things Venice is famous for including its beautiful bridges, gondola rides, atmospheric streets and carnival celebrations. Built over 118 islands, Venice and its lagoon is one of the most unique cities in the world.

Rome holds a small country within a country – The Vatican. This independent state is one of the most important religious sites in the world and St. Peter’s Square is an iconic place where many significant events have taken place.
